Employment at GHS
GHS programs fall under our two divisions: Corrections and Behavioral Health Services
We believe in investing in our employees. Therefore, most upper-level positions are filled through promoting qualified existing employees.
Entry level positions at GHS include Resident Advisors for our Corrections division and House Manager for our Behavioral Health division. We accept applications for both of these positions at any time.
Some positions require specialized licenses or education. These positions include Counselors, Case Managers, and Program Directors. GHS advertises open positions through Job Service.
Applications can be submitted in person to Ken Lea, Facility Operations Manager, at 5577 Aisek Street, in the Lemon Creek area, and must include Current Resume and a Driving Record which can be obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles. DMV charges a fee of $5 for a Driving Record.
Note: Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check, be eligible for clearance through the Department of Corrections, possess a current Alaska drivers license, and have no more than two minor moving violations within three years.
