JUNO HOUSE
Juno House Transitional Program provides residents with rehabilitative support to end the cycle of homelessness and/or addiction to alcohol and other drugs. Our program environment and staff help residents to develop the living skills they need in order to live independently and with dignity. Our physical address is 1717 Anka Street, one block from a public bus stop.
What can you expect when you arrive at Juno House?
During a resident’s first week at Juno House, case managers arrange for a series of assessments to develop a plan that addressed each individual’s personal challenges. This plan includes some or all of the following aspects:
- A comprehensive treatment plan based on an assessment conducted by one of our Masters-level licensed Substance Abuse Counselors. Some of the services available are Group Counseling, Individual Counseling, AA Meetings, Anger Management Classes, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and Batterers Intervention Services.
- An educational evaluation to help clients reach financial self sufficiency through getting a GED or vocational training.
- Mental Health Intervention for those in need of such services
- Intensive Case Management to help clients understand and gain control of the services they are entitled to.
Who is eligible for admission into the Juno House?
Juno House serves people who are homeless or transitioning from incarceration. Many residents suffer from addictions and/or mental health challenges.
How long do people live at Juno House?
Residents living at Juno House are not incarcerated, so they leave when they feel ready. Most residents reach stability within nine months of moving into Juno House. The maximum stay at Juno House is 24 months.
How do people get admitted into Juno House?
Residents come to Juno House in one of two ways.
- Self-referred residents apply for housing by contacting a Juno House case manager, who evaluates their circumstances for eligibility.
- Agency-referred residents come to Juno House from
- Addictions and/or Mental Health Treatment Programs
- Department of Corrections
- Department of Youth and Family Services
- And other behavioral health service providers
Important Note: Acceptance into Juno House is not guaranteed. All prospective clients are screened prior to acceptance into residency. Residents must meet the following admission criteria:
- Age 18 or older, and
- Recent completion of an Addictions and/or Mental Health treatment program, or
- Current participation in an Addictions and/or Mental Health Treatment Program, and
- The ability to provide daily self care and ability to execute general daily living skills, and if diagnosed with a mental illness, a demonstrated ability to remain medication compliant.
- Compliance with the Juno House Resident Manual .

How much does it cost to live at Juno House?
Program Fees are $350.00 a month. This covers case management services, rent, bed linens, utilities, local telephone, basic cable and laundry. Residents must pay for their own food and toiletries.
