Behavioral Health Office Manager

Permanent Full-Time, Overtime Exempt

Pay $27.00- $37.95

Primary duties:

  • Provides direct supervision to Behavioral Health Administrative staff
  • Ensures the integrity of all clinical program functions are maintained
  • Weekly program and billing tracking and proof reading documents.
  • Ensures standards are met for CARF, AKAIMS, and other third party sources

Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and requirements for client confidentiality
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in the field of business administration, or a related field human services field OR
  • An associate’s degree in the field of business administration, or a related field human services and experience in Behavior Health, Office management, or related area equaling two years may substitute for the bachelor’s degree OR
  • Any combination of post-secondary education and/ or experience in these fields business administration, Behavioral Health, human services, or a related fields equaling four years may substitute for the bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent writing, computer and communications skills.

Residential Addiction Counselor

Gastineau Human Services is hiring one Permanent Full-Time Counselor to provide comprehensive, professional residential substance abuse treatment services.

Fulltime, Sun-Thur. 11:00 am to 8:00 pm; will require evening scheduling. 

Master’s Degree (MA/ MS/MSW) from an Accredited Institute of Higher Education, in the field of counseling, psychology, social work, or related field to social services – $60,510 – $85,053 DOE

Licensed by the State of Alaska (LCSW/ LPC/ LMFT) – $66,503 – $93,476 DOE 

Qualifications/ Knowledge/ Abilities/Skills:
• Master’s Degree in the field of counseling, psychology, social work, or related field. 
• Licensed by the State of Alaska as an LCSW/ LPC/ LMFT is preferred. 
• You are experienced at providing comprehensive behavioral health and substance use assessments, or assessment updates; diagnosis per DSM-V and ASAM patient placement. 
• You are experienced at writing comprehensive behavioral health individualized and/or substance use treatment plans consistent with specific problems identified in the assessment.
• You have experience at performing skillful individual, group (recreational and adventure based as well as psychoeducational and psycho dynamic), family counseling services, crisis intervention, case management and referral.
• You have experience with clinical documentation that meets criteria as outlined by corporate policies and procedures, payer sources and professional/ethical regulations. Uses current Medicaid terminology universally in all client documents and reporting.
• As the ideal candidate, you are experienced in working with individuals recovering from addiction, have healthy boundaries, are compassionate, fair, respectful, have integrity and is a team player. 
• You have excellent computer skills, good written and oral communication, time management and organizational skills.

Residential Behavioral Health Manager, Exempt

Gastineau Human Services (GHS) is seeking to hire a Residential Behavioral Health Manager for our sober living program. GHS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people in Juneau restore their lives when they are adversely affected by addiction, or homelessness or incarceration.

Residential Behavioral Health Manager is responsible for care coordination of clients in GHS’ residential substance abuse treatment program. This position currently supervises four Residential Behavioral Health Program Associates and provides guidance to one Live-In Residential House Monitor.

The Residential Behavioral Health Manager works closely with other GHS staff and community partners to assist the clients to access necessary services and benefits. This position is under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director.

An ideal candidate will have knowledge of local and statewide behavioral health and housing resources and AKAIMS system. Be able to provide intensive case management services to clients enrolled in the GHS’ Residential Behavioral Health Programs. The ability to form appropriate caring relationships with clients. Possess excellent computer skills, good written and oral communication, time management and organizational skills.

Full time: exempt Tue- Sat 9:00am-6:00pm. May require some evening scheduling.

Pay Range DOE: $27.00-$37.95 per hour

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in the social services or related field,

  • 2 years of experience in applicable direct services and commitment to successfully complete the requirements for Chemical Dependency Counselor Level I within the first six months of employment,
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

Behavioral Health Technician /Residential Addiction Program Associate, non-exempt

Gastineau Human Services (GHS) is seeking to hire (2) Residential Addiction Program Associates for our sober living program. GHS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people in Juneau restore their lives when they are adversely affected by addiction, or homelessness or incarceration.

As the Residential Addiction Program Assistant, you are an integral part of the substance abuse treatment team within a group home setting for adult men in the early stages of recovery from addiction. Your main task is to promote recovery from addiction and assist clients with their transition back to the larger community.

As the ideal candidate, you are experienced in working with individuals recovering from addiction, have healthy boundaries, are compassionate, fair, and respectful, have integrity and are a team player.  You should also have excellent computer skills, good written and oral communication, time management and organizational skills.

Full-time, Wed.- Tue. 7:00am -7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am, one week on one week off.  Shifts are 12 hours long, and holidays will be included in the schedule.

Pay Range DOE: $18.39-$23.04 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years experience providing direct service in the field of human services, preferred.
  • Must have one of the following or obtain with in the first three years of employment
    • Chemical Dependency Technician certification or higher
    • Behavioral Health Aid certification
    • Peer Support Certification
  • Ability to work effectively as part of Residential Services team, with persons experiencing addiction.

ON CALL OUTPATIENT CLINICIAN 
Relief On-call clinicians to provide comprehensive, professional outpatient substance abuse treatment services when staff are ill or on leave.

This position is on-call, M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; may require some evening scheduling.

 Relief Resident Advisor

As Relief Resident Advisor, you would be assisting in all aspects of the daily operation of Glacier Manor Community Residential Center. The primary functions of the position are assisting residents with daily life skills, resident accountability, and enforcement of Community Residential Center rules and policies.

This position is on-call as needed for staff who are on leave or ill. .

Starting pay $18.81 per hour, on-call
