Gastineau Human Services (GHS) is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people in Juneau restore their lives when they are adversely affected by addiction, homelessness, or incarceration. GHS provides individuals with opportunities to gain the skills and lifestyles necessary to better themselves and the community.

Current Programs Available at GHS:

The Glacier Manor Community Residential Center (CRC) is a correctional rehabilitation program for up to 40 individuals. This program emphasizes access to case management, employment, education, training, treatment of behavioral health disorders, and securing safe, adequate housing upon each person’s return to their home community.

The Behavioral Health treatment program provides addiction treatment services for adults in an outpatient setting. Program components include screening and assessments, individual counseling, group counseling, and case management services for individuals living with substance use and mental health issues.

Persons who are pregnant, use drugs intravenously, and/or have involvement with the Office of Children’s Services, are eligible to receive an expedited assessment appointment.

Juno House is a transitional housing program for up to 20 individuals who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. This program provides safe and sober temporary housing and case management services for up to 18 months.

Gastineau House (GH) is a sober living home with 10 male beds. This program provides substance abuse treatment, recreational daily activities and 12-step involvement.
